Chobham Cottage, Chobham
This unrealised project comprises a delicate and formal extension against a strongly detailed Edwardian house.
It provided a sunny dining room looking out into a secluded side garden, which was to be re-landscaped in a Japanese style – hence some of the detailing of the extension.
Roofs are clad in zinc, and overlap to shelter clerestory windows.
The architecture extends to embrace an outside porch, familiar to the American owner.
